Air National Guard taps Serco for recruiting support
The Army’s Human Resources Solutions Recruiting and Retention base contract is the first recruiting support contract win for Serco.
The Air National Guard has awarded Serco, a professional services support company to government and the military, its first recruiting support contract.
The contract, with one base year and one optional year, has a value of $6.5 million, a company announcement states.
According to the company, the award will bring to 250 the number of Serco employees working in recruiting-related services for the military.
Awarded under the Army’s Human Resources Solutions Recruiting and Retention base contract, the contract will allow Serco to provide administrative support services to the various Air National Guard Wing Recruiting and Retention offices at 79 locations in the United States and its territories.
George Anastasi, vice president of Serco’s Human Resources Solutions business unit, said in the statement that the company’s extensive experience in recruiting for the U.S. Army was a factor in winning the contract from the Air National Guard.
“We have worked on the front line as recruiters as well as provided training and administrative services support,” Anastasi said. “Many of our people have military and recruitment backgrounds, and their experiences allow us to easily integrate into these programs, provide knowledgeable support and truly appreciate recruiters’ unique needs.”
