SRA completes purchase of RABA Technologies

RABA is a systems integrator that supports the intelligence community with a staff of about 200, more than 90 percent of whom have Top Secret/SCI security clearances.

SRA International, a provider of technology and strategic consulting services to the federal government, completed the acquisition of RABA Technologies today. The privately held company provides high-end technical services to the national security and intelligence communities.

SRA announced the signing of a definitive agreement to acquire RABA Oct. 4. Financial terms have not been disclosed.

Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Columbia, Md., RABA is a systems integrator with a staff of about 200, more than 90 percent of whom have Top Secret/SCI security clearances. It specializes in leading-edge software development and information technology engineering services.

According to an announcement from SRA, RABA generated about $60 million in revenue in the past 12 months.

In the statement, SRA President and Chief Executive Officer Renny DiPentima said, “We are very pleased about this acquisition, and we welcome RABA’s employees and customers to SRA. Together we’ll offer a more comprehensive suite of IT services to address the complex challenges of the intelligence community. We are already working with RABA on a number of promising new business opportunities.”

Commenting on the sale, RABA President and CEO Robert Baruch said, "SRA and RABA are both companies with track records of success driven by highly motivated employees and dedication to their clients.
