NDIA adds William Hoover to board of trustees
Hoover, president and CEO of IT solutions provider American Systems, will provide oversight and strategic guidance to the defense industry advocacy group.
The National Defense Industrial Association, a defense industry advocacy group, has elected William Hoover to its board of trustees.
Hoover, president and chief executive officer of information technology solutions provider American Systems, will provide oversight and strategic guidance to help NDIA continue to effectively advocate national security partnerships between government and industry.
Hoover was previously president and chief operating officer of Dynamics Research Corp.
Hoover’s prior positions include president and CEO of FutureNext Consulting, senior vice president of Oracle Service Industries, executive vice president of BDM International, and president and COO of PRC.
“As a leader in the information systems and services market sector for more than 25 years, Bill brings a significant level of expertise and industry knowledge to this role,” said Lawrence Farrell, NDIA president and CEO, in a statement. “We are confident that his commitment to and perspective on the defense industry and IT industries will be of great benefit to our board.”
“The NDIA is a pillar of and strong advocate for the health of the defense industry, and I’m excited to help shape the association’s future,” Hoover said.
He is a former Navy officer and a graduate of the Naval Academy with a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering. He serves on several professional and industry-related boards, including the board of directors of the IT Association of America’s Enterprise Solutions, the Electronics Industry Association’s board of governors, and AFCEA International’s board of directors.
