SAIC buys two companies
The purchase of AETC and Applied Marine Technology will increase the integrator's arsenal of intelligence- and defense-related services.
Science Applications International Corp. announced the purchase of AETC, a San Diego-based provider of remote sensing systems and services for the Defense Department.
SAIC also announced it has signed a definitive agreement to purchase Applied Marine Technology, based in Virginia Beach, Va., and expects to close the deal next month.
The companies did not disclose financial terms of the purchases.
AETC’s employees will be assigned to SAIC’s research, development, test and evaluation group, SAIC said in its announcement.
The company said Applied Marine Technology has expertise in special operations and special mission units and provides a range of services and products to the special warfare community, military, law enforcement, the intelligence community and private industry.
