Apptis promotes Rene LaVigne to COO
In his new role, LaVigne will focus on delivering IT services to existing clients and on growing Apptis’ customer base, the company said.
Apptis, a provider of information technology services to government and industry, has promoted Rene LaVigne to chief operating officer.LaVigne will be in charge of Apptis’ business units, technical direction and daily operations. He will focus on delivering information technology services to existing clients and on attracting new ones.LaVigne has more than 20 years’ experience in sales, marketing and finance in IT and financial industries, according to an announcement today. For the past three years, LaVigne was president and general manager of Apptis’ public and commercial sector, where he helped build a $300 million business.Before joining Apptis, LaVigne was president of Northrop Grumman Computing Systems, a federal systems integrator. He also spent a decade at Ernst and Young in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C., in the public accounting, auditing and business advisory service markets.He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola Marymount University in 1983, and he is a certified public accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.“Rene is a great asset to the company and we are excited to leverage his unique skills across the company in his new role,” said Steven Baldwin, Apptis’ president and chief executive officer.
