Dix to direct Juniper's government affairs

Juniper Networks, a developer of high-performance IP platforms, has named Robert Dix Jr. director of government affairs.Dix will act as a liaison between Juniper and Congress, the executive branch and federal agencies, the company announced today. He will also be involved in Juniper’s Global Government Group, which represents the company in government/industry collaborations that involve technology, information security, privacy, information sharing and critical infrastructure protection.Before joining Juniper, Dix held several senior-level positions in the public and private sectors. During the 108th Congress, Dix was staff director for a subcommittee of the House Government Reform Committee, and in the late 1990s, Dix served as a senior staff member on the House subcommittee for the District of Columbia.More recently, Dix served as executive vice president for government affairs and corporate development at Citadel Software Security, where he led efforts to introduce the company’s security solutions to federal agencies, the executive branch, Congress and state and local governments, Juniper said.Also, Dix served in elective local government for 12 years, including two terms on the Fairfax County, Va., Board of Supervisors.
