GovConnection promotes Howard to president

Robert Howard has been promoted to president of GovConnection, a provider of information technology products and solutions to government agencies.
Howard previously was vice president of sales for the public-sector subsidiary of parent company PC Connection. He has more than 15 years of experience in the industry, three of them spent at PC Connection Sales Corp., the company’s original business and its largest subsidiary, according to an announcement released today.
During his sales management tenure, Howard provided sound leadership while GovConnection expanded its marketing and sales programs, and added new customers, said Timothy McGrath, senior vice president of PC Connection Enterprises.
GovConnection provides IT products and solutions to federal, state and local government agencies and educational institutions through specialized account managers, catalogs and publications, and online.
