GSA's Sindelar going to EDS
The senior adviser at GSA will take a strategy role at the company.
John Sindelar, a longtime General Services Administration official, will take a new position at systems integrator EDS March 15.
Sindelar, who announced in November 2006 that he planned to retire, will provide strategic consulting to EDS. He currently is special adviser to the administrator at GSA.
Sindelar said he will be client industry executive in the Global Government Industry program at EDS.
"I will be providing strategic consulting on information technology efforts at all levels -- federal, state and local and international governments," he said. "Many of the issues confronting all governments who seek to effectively use the opportunities that the rapidly evolving technology offers are much the same."
"We look forward to him bringing the perspective of someone who's been working within government for years," EDS spokesman Brad Bass said. "We look to him for help [in] defining our place in the market, to help us nail down where we need to focus as a company."
