IAC unveils Growing Business Conference

The American Council for Technology’s Industry Advisory Council has finalized the agenda for its first Growing Business Conference at George Washington University’s Conference Center Jan. 23.Lurita Doan, administrator of the General Services Administration, will make the opening keynote address, IAC announced today.IAC said the conference will examine how small businesses approach their federal contracting customers.Between 150 and 175 government and industry executives will discuss building relationships, the challenges and opportunities when the subcontractor is large, the relevance of contractor size, and responding to a request for proposals, IAC said.The scheduled government speakers are:
- Gary Jackson, assistant administrator for size standards at the Small Business Administration.
- Linda Cureton, chief information officer at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
- Efrain Fernandez, associate deputy assistant secretary for acquisitions at the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Bajinder Paul, deputy chief information officer for information technology operations at the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
- Paul McDermott, assistant regional administrator at GSA.
- George Hyder, director of the Benefits Systems Group at the Office of Personnel Management.
- Elizabeth Mautner, director of administration and finance at OPM.
