Interactive Intelligence to open East Coast regional HQ

Interactive Intelligence, an Indianapolis-based developer of business communications software for commercial and government use, announced the opening of an Eastern regional headquarters in Herndon, Va.The company said opening the Herndon office is part of its strategy to add education centers that supplement the company’s primary North American training facility in Indianapolis.Interactive Intelligence’s government customers include the Defense, Energy and Homeland Security departments; the Army; the Air Force; the Environmental Protection Agency; the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; the Department of Veterans Affairs; the Consumer Product Safety Commission; and the Customs and Border Protection agency.The company said of its more than 2,500 customers worldwide, many commercial clients are located along the Eastern seaboard and throughout the Southeast.The Herndon office will officially open Jan. 18, with tours and product demonstrations from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.The company recently opened a Western regional headquarters in Irvine, Calif., and relocated its U.K. headquarters to larger offices near London last month. It said it plans to expand its Amsterdam sales and support office later this year.
