Roback becomes Treasury's acting CIO
No permanent replacement has been named for Ira Hobbs, who retired Jan. 3.
Edward Roback has become acting chief information officer at the Treasury Department after the retirement of Chief Information Officer Ira Hobbs, according to the department.
A Treasury spokeswoman said no permanent CIO has been named.
Roback is also associate CIO for cybersecurity at the department.
Hobbs had been CIO at Treasury since June 2004. He retired Jan. 3.
