Government veterans join GSA's congressional affairs office
Brian Mabry and Karen Kirksey have joined the General Services Administration’s Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs as deputy associate administrators.
Brian Mabry and Karen Kirksey have joined the General Services Administration’s Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs as deputy associate administrators, GSA announced today.
Mabry’s job will primarily involve working with the House and Senate appropriations committees. Kirksey’s duties will focus on procurement and disposals.
“Brian and Karen bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to GSA and will help us work closely with Congress and throughout government,” said Kevin Messner, acting associate administrator of the office.
Most recently, Mabry was senior adviser for public affairs at the International Broadcast Bureau. Before that, he worked for Voice of America and held numerous positions with Congress.
Kirksey joins GSA after serving as a congressional liaison at the Agriculture Department. She also has been a special assistant in the Office of the Secretary at the Labor Department.
