Warrick becomes acting chief acquisition officer at GSA

He succeeds former CAO Emily Murphy, who left for the private sector in January.

Vince Warrick, associate administrator of the General Services Administration’s Office of Performance Improvement, has become the agency’s acting chief acquisition officer, GSA announced today.

He succeeds former CAO Emily Murphy, who left for the private sector in January. Murphy served nearly two years as GSA’s first CAO.

“I welcome this opportunity to help strengthen our contracting division and, by extension, provide improved service to our federal clients and the American taxpayers,” Warrick said. He came to GSA on Nov. 8, 2006.

“We are working hard to successfully implement major performance initiatives throughout all areas of GSA,” GSA Administrator Lurita Doan said in a statement.

“The skills, knowledge and energy that Vince has already demonstrated as head of the Office of Performance Improvement give me great confidence in his ability to successfully lead the Office of the CAO,” she said.
