CommVault names new manager, director
CommVault, a provider of Unified Data Management solutions, announced April 30 the appointment of storage industry veterans Rob Stroud and Wayne Webster to direct the company's strategies for growth in Canada and in the U.S. federal market, respectively.
Stroud joins CommVault as country manager for Canada and Webster steps into the position of CommVault's director of Federal sales.
With nearly 20 years of storage technology experience, Stroud's responsibilities include increasing revenue opportunities, leading the company's growing Canadian sales team and expanding CommVault's business operations in Ottawa, Calgary and Mississauga. Before joining CommVault, Stroud held various sales management and technical roles at information technology companies including Hitachi Data Systems and EMC.
Webster joins CommVault after two years at Ingres, where he was vice president of worldwide partner sales. Webster, who has been in sales and sales management in the government IT market for 12 years, will head the CommVault's federal government sales initiatives from its offices in the Washington, D.C., area. Previously, Webster has held federal sales leadership positions at Network Appliance and Veritas, now Symantec.
