William Archey, chief executive officer of AeA, is retiring, the company's board of directors has announced.
He will remain at the company until his successor is found.
Early in his tenure, Archey created a research group that has published for 10 years "Cyberstates," a resource for high-tech jobs, salaries and exports nationwide. Seven years ago, he rejuvenated the AeA state policy program, which has become the preeminent resource for high-tech companies dealing with policy issues in the state houses, said Tim Guertin, chairman of AeA. More recently, Archey has worked to inform Congress of the competitiveness challenges facing America, Guertin added.
Korn Ferry, an executive search firm, will conduct the search for Archey's successor.
