Baxter joins telecom firm as VP for federal sales
Mobile Satellite Ventures (MSV) announced today that Ray Baxter has joined the company as vice president for federal sales.
In his new role at MSV, Baxter will lead sales initiatives in the government sector in support of the company's planned next-generation services.
MSV is developing an integrated satellite-terrestrial communications network to provide ubiquitous wireless broadband services, including Internet access and voice services, throughout the United States and Canada.
Baxter has more than 34 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. He has worked at New York Telephone, Satellite Business Systems and MCI Telecommunications directing rate case responses, national accounts implementation programs, complex bid analysis and technical response teams, and direct sales organizations. Most recently, Baxter was director of business development in Sprint Nextel's Public Sector-Federal and led the Capture Management team that won the multibillion-dollar General Services Administration Networx Enterprise award.
