Alion hires defense tech leader
Alion Science and Technology announced today that it has hired Mark Rider to spearhead critical technology programs in support of the Defense Department.
Rider will lead efforts that include systems and component engineering, selected Pentagon support operations, and engineering efforts at Redstone Arsenal and the Weapon Systems Technology Information Analysis Center.
Rider served 26 years in the Army, where he held numerous leadership positions in operational and acquisition organizations. He has been an Army project manager for direct fire munitions; product manager for a tactical missile system; project director at the Army's Simulation, Training and Instrumentation Command; operational evaluator for fire support systems; and systems coordinator for several weapons systems at the Department of the Army's headquarters.
