Alion hires deputy manager of National Security Group
Alion Science and Technology has hired retired Army Maj. Gen. Bruce Davis as deputy group manager of the company's National Security Group, which provides technical and operational expertise to the Defense Department, civilian government agencies and commercial organizations.
Davis is former commander of the Joint Task Force Civil Support, under U.S. Northern Command, which plans and integrates responses to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear explosive incidents. Previously, he was the Army's deputy director of operations, readiness and mobilization.
Davis began his military career in 1976 with the Indiana National Guard. He was also chief of the Office of Legislative Liaison at the National Guard Bureau in Washington; deputy commanding general of the 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command at Fort Bliss, Texas; and acting deputy assistant secretary of Defense for readiness, training and mobilization. His awards include the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Air Force Commendation Medal.
