CMS taps Citizant for business modeling
Under the $1 million contract, the company will produce and document business process models to help the CIO make investment decisions.
To help its chief information officer evaluate investment decisions, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has awarded a $1 million contract to Citizant to produce and document business process models.The business process modeling project supports CMS enterprise architecture, which is crucial to more effective business modernization.Business process modeling describes what the agency does, step-by-step. It includes key decision points, why the agency does the process, who is responsible and when and where activities are performed.The contract, awarded in August, has a base period of four months until Dec. 18, with three option periods of two months each. CMS is an agency of the Health and Human Services Department.
