House seeks WAN services to connect reps, districts
The contract is not set aside for small businesses, but the House urges them to enter a proposal.
The House wants to buy wide-area network services for all members' offices, including far-away delegates such as those in American Samoa and the U.S. Virgin Islands.The WAN will link representatives and their district offices.The House issued a request for proposals Oct. 15 for an indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract for recurring services with a three-year base period and two one-year options, according a notice on the Federal Business Opportunities Web site.The House plans to award the contract in the spring.The contract is not set aside for small businesses, but the House urges them in the notice to enter a proposal.The notice also states that the House will release a separate solicitation for Internet services.
