DISA acquisition executive retires

Diann McCoy will finish her government career Jan. 3, 2008.

Diann McCoy, the Defense Information Systems Agency's component acquisition executive, will retire from the public sector Jan. 3, 2008, DISA Director Lt. Gen. Charles Croom Jr. announced Dec. 3. McCoy has led the agency’s acquisition operation for the past five years. 


Tony Montemarano, DISA’s director of information assurance and network operations, will replace her.


McCoy’s work history spans the Air Force, National Communications System and Senior Executive Service. 


She became DISA’s component acquisition executive in August 2002. The position, designed to accelerate implementation of best processes and procedures, became a permanent part of the DISA business model in October 2003.


McCoy has won the Presidential Rank Award for Distinguished Executives, a Government Technology Leadership Award, the Defense Department Distinguished Civilian Service Award, the Meritorious Civilian Service Award and the Presidential Rank Award for Meritorious Executives.
