FCW Insider: E-government blogs worth reading
So I got an e-mail message awhile ago -- too long ago, frankly. Ugh! What can I say... Anyway, the person who sent the e-mail message asked for insights about good e-government blogs. In Web 2.0 fashion, I'll post about it here and we can tap into one another's knowledge.
Frankly, there just aren't that many e-government blogs out there.
* EGovBlog: There is a site, creatively named egovblog.com. It has been around for awhile, but it not updated regularly. The egovblog covers e-governement developments worldwide. EGovBlog can be found at www.egovblog.com.
* E-Government News: This site also has been around for awhile. EGovNews essentially pulls together links to other sites writing about e-government. It is updated sporadically -- the most recent post, for example, was Dec. 10. But it occasionally taps into stories that I may have missed. Find E-Government News at www.egovnews.org.
* E-Government Bulletin: I can't tell who publishes this Web site, but there is a lot of interesting e-government stuff in this blog. It is updated regularly and covers e-government issues worldwide. It can be found at www.headstar.com/voxpolitics.
* ReadWriteWeb: This site isn't an e-gov blog, specifically. Rather, it looks at Web issues with occasional touches into e-government issues. The blog is well worth reading and often raises issues that, although are not e-gov specific, have a definite impact on e-gov. It can be found at www.readwriteweb.com.
* BeSpacific: This is a site that I just found, but it has a wide array of interesting stories that I think people following e-government would want to read. Find BeSpacific at www.bespacific.com.
I'd be curious to hear if anyone else has e-gov blogs that they follow or that they have found useful. Post 'em here... or let me know about them, and I'll tell folks about them.
Meanwhile, find these sites and others that I have tagged as e-goverment on the delicious social bookmarking site at del.icio.us/cdorobek/egovernment. Or sites that others have tagged as e-government can be found at del.icio.us/tag/egovernment
