Former OMB chief architect joins MEGA

Richard Burk, the former chief architect at the Office of Management and Budget, has jumped to the private sector by joining the advisory board for MEGA International. Burk, who is also consulting on his own, will work primarily with MEGA’s federal customers on enterprise architecture initiatives. MEGA’s federal customers include the departments of Agriculture, Homeland Security and Transportation, and NASA. Burk retired after more than 35 years in government, and almost three years at OMB. He spent most of his career at the Housing and Urban Development Department working on architecture issues, in addition to other agency projects. Kshemendra Paul has replaced Burk on an acting basis at OMB. Burk “will continue to help expand the adoption of enterprise architecture by government agencies through his position on our advisory board,” said Lucio de Risi, president and chief executive officer of MEGA. “Dick will assist agencies working with MEGA International in optimizing the value from their EA initiatives to improve services to citizens.”
