Letter: A fee-per-trade system would distribute costs more equitably
A reader says it’s only fair for frequent traders in the Thrift Savings Plan to pay additional costs.
Regarding “Some participants protest new Thrift Savings Plan policy”: Although I don't engage in frequent TSP trading, I don't begrudge those who do. That said, it is only fair for those who do to pay for the increased administrative costs incurred as a result of frequent trades.
It is unreasonable for infrequent traders like myself to bear additional administrative costs brought about by the frequent traders. A cost-per-trade system would seem to be a more equitable method for distributing costs.
