Letter: Classified information can include just about anything
The protection of classified information is understandable. However, at one time it was determined that just too many irrelevant things were being classified for reasons that have long since become irrelevant.

Regarding "DOD asks contractors to protect unclassified data," a reader writes: I see a major problem with this. Just where do these restrictions stop. Any information can be considered sensitive,it is fundamentally in the eye of the beholder. The protection of classified information is understandable, however, at one time it was determined that just too many irrelevant things were being classified for reasons that have long since become irrelevant. I can see that taken to its extreme, only sports scores would be public information. I do believe this business has gone too far.
