Regarding "Report: Agencies must head off brain drain": As one who will be part of that brain drain, I say good riddance. Government doesn't need to replace us, it needs to revive and replenish us. We need fewer careerists and more stinters — more older, wiser, experienced middle/senior managers willing to do a five-year stint in the public sector. They are today's equivalent of Franklin Roosevelt's dollar-a-year men.
The era of the IBM/longevity model of employment is over. Government needs to move on.
