Letter: Prior fed experience requirement blocks potential applicants

With the entire flap about the feds trying to fill openings, have they ever really looked at how they are going about it?

If you look at the restrictions of most of the job postings, you have to have been a fed employee in the past to even be considered for the position.  If they are truly looking to fill these jobs, then this prior fed employment restriction needs to be made to go away. 

There are many people that could fill these jobs out there, but can’t even apply because of the “You have to have prior Federal employment in order to apply” that walk away and look for jobs else where.
