Also in the news: An Army blogger silenced
The Washington Post reports on a soldier-blogger in Iraq who ran afoul of his commanders.
Lt. Matthew Gallagher, writing under the pen name Lt. G., originally launched his blog, "Kaboom: A Soldier's War Journal," for his family and friends, but eventually the site drew tens of thousands of page views a month, .But that all ended after Gallagher posted an entry without running it by his supervisors, as required by Army rules. "The blogosphere, as it's wont to do, went berserk," the Post states.
