Field named deputy OFPP administrator
OFPP policy analyst takes a top position in federal acquisition
Lesley Field has become the deputy administrator for the Office of Federal Procurement Policy, OFPP Administrator Paul Denett formally announced today. Field, who as an OFPP policy analyst, focused on acquisition workforce initiatives, strategic sourcing, performance-based acquisitions, purchase and travel issues, and standards surrounding buying technology that is accessible by disabled people. Former Deputy Administrator Robert Burton retired July 18. Before joining the OFPP staff, Field worked at the Transportation Department as a contracting officer, program analyst and procurement policy analyst. Field graduated from the University of Virginia, and earned her master’s degree in public administration from Virginia Tech. She completed the Senior Executive Fellows Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University in 2007. She is a 2008 Federal 100 Award winner, an annual award given by Federal Computer Week.
