NextGov reports that a Senate committee has approved a bill mandating the creation of a public Web site for tracking federal grant applications.
A Senate committee has approved a bill that would require the Office of Management and Budget to build a public Web site for tracking the progress of federal grant applications, according to a report by NextGov.
The Web site also will enable applicants to prove information and report on the use of grants, according to NextGov. The bill (S. 3341) is sponsored by Sen. George Voinovich (R.-Ohio).
