Richard von Bostel, the Justice Department’s chief enterprise architect, has proven his ability to work effectively with officials across the department.Von Bostel helped persuade the department’s business managers to integrate their performance management strategies with Justice’s enterprise architecture, said Kshmendra Paul, chief architect at the Office of Management and Budget’s Office of E-Government and IT. “He has built one of the best performance architectures across the U.S. government,” Paul said.He is also deeply involved with numerous information-sharing efforts, such as the National Information Exchange Model, a cross-agency effort to share criminal justice data among the Homeland Security and Justice departments and state and local law enforcement agencies.“Rich has done excellent work promoting NIEM and working with other architects in Information Sharing Council agencies to utilize [Justice’s enterprise architecture] constructs and concepts to foster sharing across systems and agencies,” said Kent Holtgrewe, the department’s deputy chief information officer for policy and planning.
