AZCentral.com reports that the state will allow military and overseas voters to use online system.
Voters registered in Arizona but living overseas will be able to vote online this year, thanks to a new system offered by the secretary of state there. The Military and Overseas Voting System adds an option for Arizona voters, who previously were able to vote by fax. Under the new system, they must apply for early ballots online and then submit their votes electronically by using a document scanner. Military and overseas voters submitted 7,594 ballots in Arizona's 2004 elections. The Justice Department approved the system last week. It uses 128-bit encryption to keep the ballots secure.
