An extension of a technology services contract will support Marshall Space Flight Center, officials say.
The realignment and implementation of NASA’s information technology infrastructure will continue under an extension of the agency’s Unified NASA Information Technology Services contract, the agency said. SAIC won the contract that provides NASA with agencywide information services and information technology services for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. The contract also supports Marshall’s Integrated Enterprise Management Program that combines agency financial resources and travel office information, the agency said. The $214 million contract extension provides runs through November 2009. The extension was announced Sept. 18. Marshall’s responsibilities for information technology include managing software applications, server systems, audiovisual information, telecommunications, IT security, IT procurement, documentation storage and protection hardware maintenance,The contract includes support for encryption security systems, computer networking and digital imaging.
