DISA career event offers mentoring
Potential employees will get meetings with senior agency officials.
The Defense Information Systems Agency will host a career expo Nov. 1 to prepare for the agency’s move to Fort Meade, Md., which starts in July 2010. The event will include mentoring sessions with senior leaders from DISA. Attendees will have 30 minutes to ask questions and get direct responses from agency officials. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Sheraton Baltimore Washington Airport Hotel in Linthicum, Md. The event will focus on informing attendees about the career fields, employee benefits and work life programs available at DISA, along with information about security clearances. It is designed to help potential employees understand the government’s clearance process and how events from the past may affect a candidate’s ability to get a security clearance, the agency said. There will also be a resume writing session.
