NIH officially makes John Jones CIO.
The National Institutes of Health has announced that John Jones is NIH's chief information officer. He has been acting CIO since 2005, after joining the agency as chief information technology architect in 2001. In addition to being CIO, Jones will continue to be acting director of NIH's Center for Information Technology. Before coming to NIH, Jones worked at Sandia National Laboratories as senior adviser to the deputy assistant secretary.
