Letter: FBI should share its wiki
A reader writes that the FBI wiki, Bureaupedia, should reach a broader audience beyond its agency to be effective.
Regarding "FBI creates knowledge wiki"
Intellipedia isn't just for the intelligence community. The Defense Department has access to that tool and it has increasingly become the collaboration central point for all agencies — not just DOD. Why can't the FBI already leverage that capability?
In today's global war on terrorism, every agency needs to share information (and there are secure networks and tools such as Intellipedia that maintain network integrity).
I have heard that stand alone wikis are not very successful. In order to optimize the strength of a wiki, one needs to reach the broadest audience — not just [the one] within thier own walls.
