Letter: Obama administration might allow some outsourcing
A reader writes that the incoming Obama administration might allow some outsourcing of government work if it would be cost effective.
Regarding "Obama will cut outsourcing"
Typical Democratic position on outsourcing.
However, [the] comments and the article do not match actual views of the forthcoming administration. [The] basic conclusion of the new regime, in my opinion, [is] if [it is] truly cost effective to outsource a government activity (stimulates employment in the private sector and makes government more efficient), then this would be appropriate. Laws restricting such competetion will sooner or later be abolished.
