We got word today that Nancy Potter, who served in government for 63 years, has passed away.
Nancy had retired in Dec. 2007 as the General Services Administration's longest-serving employee. A GSA legend, she played in a role in modernizing GSA's financial systems and in establishing the Federal Buildings Fund.
GSA gave Nancy a big send-off when she retired. To get a unique perspective on GSA and on public service, her eloquent farewell speech is definitely worth reading.
