GSA looks for input on improving USA.gov

GSA launched a new online forum in an effort to gather ideas from the public on how to improve USA.gov.

A new online forum was added to the USA.gov in an effort to get input from the public on how to improve the Web portal, according to the General Services Administration.

The forum, called “Your Voice Matters,” was launched on Dec. 12 and will remain live until Jan. 15, GSA officials said. The forum provides the public a place to discuss and submit suggestions for improving and making USA.gov more user-friendly.

“By opening up dialog, we directly tap into one of the best sources of innovation and new ideas we have – our citizens,” said Dave McClure, associate administrator of GSA’s Office of Citizen Services and Communications. “This dialog will give the public an open and collaborative process to help improve the look and feel, content, and usability of USA.gov.”

Participants will be able to read and respond to proposals and questions posed by the USA.gov team, as well as submit their own ideas for discussion.

The forum is part of a growing trend in the federal government to elicit input from the public.
