Goddard Space Flight Center names new chief information officer
Adrian Gardner has been appointed as the new CIO for NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, and will officially assume his duties on Feb. 1.
Adrian Gardner has been appointed as the chief information officer for the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, according to a story posted on the DorobekInsider blog today.
Gardner will report to NASA on Feb. 1, according to the story. The position at NASA Goddard became vacant when Linda Cureton was promoted to the CIO post at NASA headquarters.
Gardner currently serves as the CIO for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Weather Service. He began that job in January 2007.
Gardner was named to Federal Computer Week’s Federal 100 in 2006.
From October 2006 to January 2007, Gardner served as the deputy associate CIO for IT reform at the Energy Department, according to his bio. From September 2005 to October 2006, he was the deputy associate CIO for cyber security for DOE.
