Reed is an experienced sage in the acquisition community. She understands the key elements to building a strong public/private partnership. As such, she eagerly serves as a mentor, advocate and resource for the federal and private-sector sides of the acquisition equation.
For instance, her company created a new Rapid IT Acquisition model for the Defense Department to speed the purchasing process and help the acquisition workforce. The model gained the attention of DOD officials and congressional leaders. Although DOD first suggested Rapid IT Acquisition as a pilot program, Congress gave DOD the authority to skip the pilot phase and just build the model into DOD’s purchasing process.
