Federal 100: Christopher J. Dorobek
In addition to co-anchoring Federal News Radio’s afternoon program, Dorobek is a prolific blogger on all things related to government technology. He’s also Federal Computer Week’s former editor-in-chief.
He has embraced the role that technology can play in government, particularly Web 2.0, and has been instrumental in advancing its use. He has championed “unconferences,” informal online discussions about various government topics.
Dorobek is a conduit for many of the ideas that federal employees have for using IT in government, said Karen Evans, former administrator of e-government and IT at the Office of Management and Budget and a partner at KE&T Partners.
“He has a high level of trust in the federal community,” she added. People “know he’s not just out for Chris Dorobek.”
