Joyce France is paving the way for the next generation of the federal government’s IT workforce. In support of the CIO Council, France led an analysis of trends among federal IT employees to help develop a strategy to integrate the growing numbers of the millennial generation entering government service.

This detailed examination of the “Net Generation” as a future component of the federal IT workforce revealed insights into motivations, expectations and skills that can be captured and harnessed to support the government. The study’s resulting conclusions and “to do” list for federal agencies will open the door for young IT employees to flourish.
