Federal 100: Shelley Metzenbaum

Shelley Metzenbaum
Associate Director for Performance and Personnel Management
Office of Management and Budget

Shelley Metzenbaum is a vital and valued resource for agencies as they carry out the Obama administration’s performance management agenda.

Metzenbaum is OMB’s day-to-day lead on that ambitious initiative, which seeks to institute true performance management governmentwide. She works with individual agencies to develop meaningful metrics for their work and mechanisms to track and report on their progress. She brings deep knowledge and equally deep appreciation for the challenges agencies face in aligning themselves with the administration’s new emphasis on performance.

“She is not only a key driver behind the progress being made at many agencies but also an invaluable resource for agencies seeking, but struggling, to meet the objectives OMB has established,” said Stan Soloway, president and CEO of the Professional Services Council.
