YouTube’s new channel, YouTube Town Hall, creates a type of online debate between members of Congress by presenting side-by-side videos of members discussing popular issues. Users can select a topic that interests them — such as energy, the economy, education or Afghanistan — and the Town Hall features two members of Congress explaining their views in videos made especially for the Town Hall channel, according to Mashable.
Viewers can submit questions, and every month members of Congress will post videos addressing the top-voted questions. Users can also click to support either member’s position on a topic, and the most supported videos will be highlighted on the site’s leader board.
