Which agency's wiki won an innovation award?
The Training Officers Consortium has picked an agency wiki for an innovation award, based on its criteria of using non-traditional methods and tools to achieve performance goals.
The Office of Personnel Management’s federal training and development wiki won an innovation award June 14 from the Training Officers Consortium, a nonprofit organization of federal trainers and other professionals. OPM’s wiki – which users can edit, comment on and add to – met the award’s criteria of using “non-traditional methods and tools to achieve desired performance outcomes.”
The wiki, or collaborative website, was launched in January 2011 and contains pages on mentoring and coaching, leveraging new technologies, low-cost training options, and training information, among other subjects.
“The wiki improves efficiency and best practices for agencies by providing a forum to share ideas and training tools,” said John Berry, OPM’s director. “This will help agencies address their learning and development needs to best support the mission and career success of federal employees.”
