Federal 100: Jerad Speigel

The work: Advising federal CIOs on strategic management, customer relations and the modern IT management environment.

The impact: Speigel helped government IT leaders transform their organizations from cost centers to more business-centric providers focused on customer service and cost-effective delivery.

The nuts and bolts: Speigel provided thought leadership and support to several reorganization projects undertaken by agency CIOs, including the effort by the Housing and Urban Development Department’s CIO office to create a service-centric organizational structure and a management framework to support HUD’s seven highest priority programs. He also worked on initiatives to address issues related to homelessness, climate change and federal spending transparency.
