After VA, Maurice Stewart joins the Ambit Group
Stewart led Veterans Affairs Department efforts to improved communications and transform its relationship with suppliers.
Maurice “Mo” Stewart, who just retired as associate deputy assistant secretary for logistics and supply chain management at the Veterans Affairs Department, has joined The Ambit Group, the company announced Sept. 12.
Stewart now will be vice president of business solutions at the IT management firm. In his new position, he will be responsible for mentoring and leading the business development team, with a focus on sales, capture management and proposal development.
Stewart was a 2012 Federal 100 award winner.
While at the VA, Stewart led the department’s Supplier Relationship Transformation program, through which VA officials surveyed vendors and held industry forums to get feedback. The Ambit Group helped the VA with the program.
The company also promoted Bob Nunnally from director to vice president to advance the company's strategic offerings to the federal market, the firm said.
