Deadline extended for Fed 100 nominations!
You now have until Monday, Jan.5 to get them in. Happy holidays!
Enough already -- my voicemail inbox is full! Everyone gets a few extra days to finish up their Federal 100 nominations.
The new deadline is noon ET on Monday, Jan. 5. And this one is non-negotiable -- by mid-afternoon that day, we will be shipping the nominations to our judges so that they can get started on what always amounts to several hundred pages of reading.
So if you have a nomination that's waiting on that one last bit of information -- or if you'd wanted to nominate someone but feared there wasn't enough time -- you now have two extra weeks. Get moving!
Remember, all nominations must be made online at FCW.com/2015fed100.
And here's one last recap of what it takes to make the Fed 100:
- Anyone in the federal IT community is eligible.
- The award is for individual accomplishments in 2014.
- Fed 100 winners go above and beyond -- whatever their level or rank. A fancy job title is not required, and just doing one's job well is not enough.
- Impact matters. The judges need to know not only what a nominee did, but also what all that work accomplished.
If you know someone whose talents, leadership and dedication are making federal IT better, please be sure they have the opportunity to get the recognition they deserve. Nominate them today -- and then enjoy the rest of the holiday season.
