Fed 100 nominations: Time is running out!
Nominations are due by Dec. 23 -- submit yours today!
The deadline for this year's Federal 100 nominations is Dec. 23. The submissions we've received so far are a great reminder of the talent found throughout the federal IT community, but there are certainly key agencies and initiatives that remain unacknowledged.
So if you know individuals whose talents and drive have made federal IT better this year, please be sure they have the opportunity to get the recognition they deserve. Go to FCW.com/2015fed100 and get started today on your nominations.
Not sure what it takes to make the Fed 100? Here are four points to remember:
- Anyone in the federal IT community is eligible. Generally, that means agency employees and select members of the contracting sector, but past winners have included legislators, academics, independent watchdogs and others as well.
- The award is for individual accomplishments in 2014. (These are not team honors, or lifetime achievement awards.)
- Fed 100 winners go above and beyond -- whatever their level or rank. A fancy job title is not required, and just doing one's job well is not enough.
- Impact matters. The judges need to know not only what a nominee did, but also what all that hard work accomplished.
Additional guidelines are available at FCW.com/2015fed100. Find the people you think should be among this year's Federal 100, and make sure we know about them as well!
